New executive board of the Latin America Division

The Latin America Division is proud to announce to members the Executive Board 2019 -2021: Chairman Jurandir Fernandes, who will be accompanied by representatives from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, with representation from the sectors of authorities, buses and metros as vice-chairmen: Marcelo Hasse (FATAP – Argentina), Mónica Alvarado (Secretaria de Transporte y Movilidad – Rosario) , Nicolás Rosales (AMTM – México), Richele Cabral (Fetranspor – Rio de Janeiro) e  Roberto Labarthe (CCR – Brasil).

The new board is committed in the next two years to expand the participation of UITP in the region, which currently has 80 members distributed in 9 countries, which transport 42 million passengers a day representing 10% of public transport in the continent .

The objective is to have a wider presence with the actors of the metropolitan regions, and cities with more than one million inhabitants. Currently in the 17 largest economies in Latin America there are 42 regions under these conditions and UITP is present in 16 of them.
